Valent U.S.A. Awards Florida Student Scholarship for Organic Training

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.—Valent U.S.A. LLC today announced that University of Florida Doctor of Plant Medicine student Morgan Byron has received a $1,500 research scholarship for the development of organic training materials for growers, Pest Control Advisors (PCAs), consultants and retailers. Valent is committed to supporting the next generation of growers and researchers, and this scholarship is the latest the company has awarded to students studying agricultural and horticultural sciences.

The training helps participants understand the benefits of the broad Valent Organic Solutions portfolio, which includes biological insecticides, fungicide, plant growth regulators and root enhancement products. Byron was presented the scholarship as a part of Graduate Student Appreciation Week at the University of Florida by her academic advisor Dr. Jennifer L. Gillett-Kaufman, her organic project supervisor Dr. Danielle Treadwell, and Valent sales representative Sarah Markle.

"Morgan is a prime example of the next generation of research and innovation in agriculture," said Markle. "We greatly appreciate all of her efforts in helping Valent and wish her the best after she graduates from the university this fall."
