November 6, 2019
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Valent U.S.A., in partnership with the Agriculture Future of America (AFA), has selected four students to sponsor in the AFA 2019 Scholarship Program. Jaci Deitrick, Jasmine Flores, Morgan Kanemoto, and Carina Ramos are all studying agriculture-related degrees and will pursue their passions at the 2019 AFA Leaders Conference in Kansas City, Mo. from Nov. 7-10.
“We are committed to the future of the agriculture industry, and that starts with the people in it,” says David Nothmann, Valent U.S.A. vice president of marketing and AFA board member. “We are pleased to provide the four students chosen this year a chance to further their development as future industry leaders. They all show strong leadership qualities and a commitment to agriculture, whether through communications, education or technology, showcasing the many avenues one can take to make a difference in this industry.”
Through the scholarship, the students will gain access to premier personal and professional development as well as financial assistance for their college education. One part of the professional development component is the AFA Leaders Conference, which provides four “tracks” for professional development as well as connecting students with their peers and industry professionals.
