The Regiment® Herbicide that Mid-South rice growers rely on for premium control of problem weeds, including johnsongrass, barnyardgrass and hemp sesbania is now in a new, liquid formulation.

“The liquid formulation and low use rate of Regiment® EZ improves ease of use for rice growers, especially when tank mixing with other rice herbicides,” says Mallory Scott, field market development specialist for Valent U.S.A.

Regiment® EZ Herbicide offers a low use rate, a wide application window and a proven active ingredient for broad spectrum postemergence weed control of yield-robbing broadleaf, aquatic and grass weeds.

Several years of field studies have demonstrated consistent weed control performance when comparing Regiment and Regiment EZ.

“Both products deliver greater than 90% control of targeted weeds, including barnyardgrass,” says Frank Carey, senior manager of field research and development for Valent U.S.A. “Over several years of testing in the Mid-South, we’ve found no difference in weed control between the dry and liquid formulations of Regiment.”

Regiment EZ raises the bar with its ease of handling as a liquid formulation with a low use rate. In addition to providing control of even the most problematic barnyardgrass that is propanil- and/or Facet®-resistant, Regiment EZ controls a broad spectrum of weeds, including alligatorweed, ducksalad, rice flatsedge, eclipta, pitted morningglory, pigweed and more.

A Group 2 herbicide, Regiment EZ labeled rates range from 0.75 to 1.15 fluid ounces per acre. Regiment EZ can be applied pre- or post-flood but should be applied to actively growing weeds in wet soil. Application can be made after rice has reached the three-leaf growth stage and has not yet reached panicle initiation (green ring).

Application of Regiment EZ Herbicide must include a surfactant unless otherwise specified in another section of this label or in supplemental labeling.
