Valent U.S.A. Awards Four Scholarships to Agriculture Future of America Students
Valent U.S.A. Sponsors Four Students Through AFA Scholarship Program
November 6, 2019
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Valent U.S.A., in partnership with the Agriculture Future of America (AFA), selected four students for sponsorship through the 2019 AFA Scholarship Program.
Jaci Deitrick, Jasmine Flores, Morgan Kanemoto and Carina Ramos are all pursuing agriculture-related degrees. Through this opportunity, they will continue developing their interests and career goals at the 2019 AFA Leaders Conference in Kansas City, Mo., from Nov. 7-10.
“We are committed to the future of the agriculture industry, and that starts with the people in it,” said David Nothmann, Valent U.S.A. vice president of marketing and AFA board member. “We are pleased to provide these four students with a chance to further their development as future industry leaders. Each of them demonstrates strong leadership and a commitment to agriculture through communications, education or technology.”
Scholarship Benefits and Leadership Development
Through the scholarship, students receive financial assistance for college as well as access to personal and professional development opportunities.
One key part of that experience is the AFA Leaders Conference. The event offers four professional development tracks and creates opportunities for students to connect with peers and industry professionals.
